As this article is an early look at the Druid,
information conveyed in this article may be subject to adjustment.
Find Power in Surrender—the Origin of the Talons of Ifeh DruidsDeep within the Sharval Wilds are the
Talons of Ifeh, a ferocious group of Druids capable of wielding wild, unpredictable, and uncontrollable magic. This ancient magic allows them to burn their enemies in rings of fire, shred skin with gravel bullets, and change their forms into that of beasts.
The Talons of Ifeh were led to Sharval long ago by
Ifeh, the First Archdruid of Sharval, a member of the Druidic colleges of Scosglen. Ifeh was dissatisfied with the ways in which her peers sought power from the wilds. The other Druids believed that harmony with the land would lead to communion, but Ifeh instead surrendered her body and soul to the wilds. In return, she was granted a great yet ravenous power, one that would awaken the beast within.
Eventually, the bloodlust that would often overwhelm her in her hunts led to the murder of another Druid. She was banished from First College and exiled from her home. But Ifeh knew that there was another home for her and her students out there in Sanctuary. One that would welcome them.
Today, the Talons of Ifeh are few in number but mighty in strength. While most sequester themselves in the wilds, intent on protecting their own territory, some have heard nature’s call to defendall of Sanctuary from the demonic rot that threatens the land. The Talons of Ifeh fight with tooth and claw against the Burning Hells, and with each demon buried in the dirt, more life sprouts.
Assume the Mantle of the DruidStarting on
July 3, there will be
four ways you can harness the power of nature as the Druid:
- Enter the Primal Plane, a three-week-long event like the Fractured Plane, but everyone plays as the Druid.
- Play the Druid Origin Quest, “Grovekeeper's Call,” and experience the Druid’s journey as they search for inner balance. Defend your land from demons, become a true Druid through a ritualistic battle, and learn about your role as nature’s guardian. Start the quest through Class Change or the Druid Event Hub.
- Create a new character and select the Druid class.
- Using Class Change, you can transfer your character from its existing Class to the Druid. Completing the Druid Origin Quest removes the Class Change Cooldown.
Use Your Naturalistic Skills to Protect SanctuaryWith staff in hand, the Druid is a spellcaster who commands the forces of nature, and when dire threats arise, can transform into savage Werewolf and Werebear forms to unleash devastating melee attacks. If your foes number many, call upon transformations like Wolves, Bears, Ravens, or the noble Stag to back you up. Whatever the threat may be, the Druid has an answer.
