We've reworked Bloodmage Thalnos, made some adjustments to under and over-performing Minis, including Vultures, Headless Horseman, Dryad, and Swole Troll, and fixed a few bugs that made some Minis less desirable.
Balance Changes and Bugfixes
LeadersBloodmage Thalnos- The Drain Life talent has been changed to Drain Soul.
- Drain Soul: Killing an enemy reduces the cost of the next spell you play by 1. This has a cooldown of 12 seconds.
- The previous Drain Life talent has been added to Bloodmage Thalnos' base attack, granting all of his attacks Lifesteal. The Lifesteal gained has been reduced to 8%, from 10%.
- The Spell cost required to trigger the Dominance talent has been reduced to 3, from 4.
Onu- Gold cost has been reduced to 5, from 6.
Arthas Menethil, the Lich King- The duration of the Purgatory talent has been reduced to 3 seconds, from 5 seconds.
- The cooldown for re-summoning Undead Footmen has been increased to every 13 seconds, from every 10 seconds (increased by 30%).
TroopsTreants- Healing from the Composting talent has been increased to 90 from 60, and now also applies a heal over time. The heal over time will heal for 60 over 6 seconds.
Vultures- The number of Vultures spawned when Vultures is played has been increased to 3, from 2.
- The number of Vultures spawned when a Vulture kills an enemy has been increased to 2, from 1.
Huntress- Health reduced to 350, from 400.
Warsong Grunts- The Blood Pact talent now also Heals the living Mini to full.
- Fixed an issue that would cause Blood Pact to be inconsistent.
Living Bomb- Damage taken by bosses from Living Bomb's explosion has been reduced to 50%, from 100%.
- The delay before Living Bomb explodes has been increased to 5 seconds, from 3 seconds.
Angry Chickens- Damage has been increased to 50, from 40.
Moonkin- The Vengeance talent now grants a damage increase for 5 seconds after being attacked, instead of a speed increase.
- The Typhoon talent has been updated to include a Daze and now also trigger at 50% health and on death.
- Typhoon: On deploy, at 50% health, and on death, Knockback and Daze nearby enemies.
- Typhoon's radius has been increased to 9, from 7.
- The Moonglow talent no longer requires spells to be played immediatly after Moonkin in order to gain 2 levels.
Swole Troll- Health has been reduced to 2,600, from 2,900.
- Swole Troll's turn speed has been increased to help prevent him from blocking lanes.
Headless Horseman- Gold cost has been reduced to 4, from 5.
Dryad- Siege Minis will now have their speed doubled rather than brought up to Dryad's speed when using the Nature's Swiftness talent.
Developer's Note: We're currently iterating on this change to Dryad so it may change.Earth and Moon- Increased the number of Poison stacks applied by Entangling Roots to 3, from 2.
- Increased the damage per star (tick) of Starfall to 65, from 60.
- Increased the damage of Starfall to Barracks (bases) to 32, from 30. This change brings the damage up to align with the increased damage per star (tick) while following the "Spells do half damage to Barracks" rule.
Smoke Bomb- The duration of Smoke Bomb has been increased by approximatly 50%.
- The Strangers in the Night talent has been replaced with the Ambush talent.
- Ambush: Add one-time Ambush damage to targets. Ambush adds a 50% bonus to damage on the first strike. Goblin Sapper and Banshee will not be affected by Ambush.
Deep Breath- Base damage and Burn now properly do half damage to player Barracks (base).
Eclipse- Sunfire's base damage and Burn now properly do half damage to player Barracks (base).
Plague Farmer- We fixed a bug that was causing the Splashing Pumpkins talent to only apply 3 stacks of Poision instead of the intended 4 stacks of Poison.
MissionsWe've adjusted the difficulty for some missions in Normal Elwynn Forest. These changes will affect new players who are playing through the tutorial.
Goldtooth- The damage of Goldtooth's bomb ability has been significantly reduced.
Mother Fang- Mother Fang's army has been changed to make the fight slightly simpler.
- We've increased Mother Fang's poison range. She can now reach enemies on the upper level of the map.
- Mother Fang will no longer spawn poison pools.
