Unveiling Pandaria: A Journey Through the Zones of Mists of Pandaria Classic

Hidden by mists for millennia, Pandaria emerges on the horizon—a land of ancient secrets, breathtaking landscapes, and soul-stirring new adventures. Mists of Pandaria Classic invites heroes to step ashore and discover a world that is both serene and savage, where harmony and conflict dance in equal measure.

Each zone of Pandaria is a chapter in a saga that unfolds across rolling jade hills, mist-shrouded peaks, and vibrant villages. Whether you are a fresh-faced wanderer or a seasoned champion, Pandaria’s seven main zones teem with stories to unravel, challenges to conquer, and wonders to explore.

The Jade Forest: Gateway to Discovery

The journey begins in the lush expanse of the Jade Forest, where towering bamboo groves sway beneath the watchful gaze of jade statues and cloud-piercing mountains. This is the gateway to Pandaria—a place where the Alliance and Horde’s first steps are met with both opportunity and danger.

The Jade Forest embodies the balance between peaceful tradition and the disruption brought by outsiders. Pandaren monasteries radiate tranquility, while the invading forces of the Alliance and Horde threaten to upset centuries-old serenity.

What Players Can Do:
  • Embark on introductory questlines that set the tone for the expansion and reveal the tension between local denizens and foreign invaders.
  • Assist the enigmatic Pandaren and the noble Jade Serpent, Yu’lon, in restoring harmony to the land.
  • Battle the mischievous Hozen and cunning Jinyu as each faction seeks new allies among Pandaria’s inhabitants.
  • Venture into the Temple of the Jade Serpent dungeon, a sanctum overtaken by sha corruption.
Valley of the Four Winds: Bounty of the Land

Travel westward and you’ll find yourself in the Valley of the Four Winds, a patchwork of golden fields, bustling farmlands, and tranquil villages. Here, the Pandaren’s deep connection to the earth is celebrated at every turn.

The Valley pulses with life and warmth, but lurking beneath its pastoral calm are dangers waiting to uproot the peace.

What Players Can Do:
  • Help farmsteads thrive by tending crops, rallying against mischievous vermin, and defending against the destructive Mantid swarms from the east.
  • Join the legendary Brewmasters in crafting Pandaria’s finest ales, and participate in quirky, memorable quests filled with humor and heart.
  • Journey through the Stormstout Brewery dungeon, where players aid Chen Stormstout in reclaiming his family’s legacy from chaos and corruption.
  • Explore Halfhill Market, the heart of Pandaria’s agriculture and the central hub for the beloved Tillers faction—your home away from home for farming and daily activities.
Krasarang Wilds: Jungle Secrets and Open War

Krasarang Wilds stretches along Pandaria’s southern coast, its humid jungles and misty shores teeming with life—and strife. What begins as exploration quickly erupts into open warfare as the conflict between Alliance and Horde intensifies.

The wild is home to ancient ruins, mysterious caves, and the first skirmishes of a greater war that will consume Pandaria’s southern shores.

What Players Can Do:
  • Explore hidden temples and lost lore deep within the jungle’s heart.
  • Join the battle at the Domination Point or Lion’s Landing, pivotal strongholds for Horde and Alliance players, respectively.
  • Engage in world PvP, dailies, and questlines that drive the story of faction warfare forward.
Kun-Lai Summit: The Roof of Pandaria

Beyond the tranquil fields rises Kun-Lai Summit, a region of jagged peaks, snow-capped cliffs, and ancient monasteries perched above the clouds. Here, the air is thin, and the challenges are many.

Kun-Lai Summit is home to hermits, monks, and legendary warriors who have trained for generations atop its mountains.

What Players Can Do:
  • Scale perilous heights to seek the wisdom of the monks at the Shado-Pan Monastery and aid them in their eternal vigil against darkness.
  • Take part in epic quests involving the mountain-dwelling Yaungol and the fearsome Mogu warlords.
  • Challenge the Shado-Pan Monastery dungeon, confronting the sha and testing your worth in the eyes of Pandaria’s guardians.
  • Venture into the Burlap Trail and encounter the Grummles—resourceful traders with a penchant for good luck charms and adventure.
Townlong Steppes: Frontier of War

To the west lies the Townlong Steppes, a windswept wilderness where grasslands meet barren tablelands, and the land bears the scars of ancient wars.

The Shado-Pan hold the line here, standing against the relentless Mantid and the insidious sha that threaten to spill over Pandaria’s borders.

What Players Can Do:
  • Stand with the Shado-Pan as they wage a desperate campaign to contain the Mantid advance.
  • Unravel the secrets of the long-lost Mogu empire and confront new adversaries rising from the shadows.
  • Complete challenging daily quests and secure a foothold in the ongoing struggle for Pandaria’s survival.
Dread Wastes: Heart of Corruption

South of the Townlong Steppes, Pandaria’s serenity gives way to the corrupted depths of the Dread Wastes. Here, the Mantid swarm is at its strongest, and vile sha energies twist the land.

The Dread Wastes is a stark reminder of the ever-present threat of chaos; hope flickers in the darkness, guarded by the brave Klaxxi.

What Players Can Do:
  • Ally with the Klaxxi Paragons—ancient Mantid champions fighting to preserve their people from utter madness.
  • Delve into a web of intrigue, sabotage, and heroics as you take up the mantis blade in the war against the Empress and her sha-corrupted followers.
  • Earn reputation with the Klaxxi through daily quests, unlocking powerful augments and unique storylines.
Vale of Eternal Blossoms: Cradle of the Titans

At the core of Pandaria lies the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, a valley of golden light, sacred waters, and ancient secrets. Long sealed against outsiders, the Vale is revered as the heart of the continent’s spiritual power.

The Vale is a place of hope and healing, but also the stage for some of Pandaria’s most dramatic confrontations.

What Players Can Do:
  • Gain favor with the august Celestial Guardians and the Golden Lotus, Pandaria’s elite defenders.
  • Protect the Vale from new and old threats, as the shadow of war and the corruption of the sha threaten to consume this sacred ground.
  • Unlock powerful dailies, story quests, and—later—raid content within the Mogu’shan Vaults and the Heart of Fear.
The Adventure Awaits

From the tranquil terraces of the Jade Forest to the shadowed wastes of the Dread Wastes, Pandaria is a continent of contrasts—a harmonious blend of beauty, danger, and legend. Whether forging alliances with the Pandaren, battling ancient evils, or carving your own path through untamed wilds, Mists of Pandaria Classic offers endless adventures for those bold enough to step beyond the mists.

Gather your allies, sharpen your blade, and find the path that calls to you. The story of Pandaria is yours to write—and a new adventure is just beginning.[Источник]

Scenarios & Challenge Modes in Mists of Pandaria Classic

Step once more into the mystical lands of Pandaria and prepare to test your mettle with Scenarios and Challenge Modes. Whether you’re setting foot in the Jade Forest for the first time or you’re a seasoned champion returning to relive the glory, Mists of Pandaria Classic brings these beloved experiences back and are ready for new adventures.

What Are Scenarios?

Scenarios are instanced, story-driven adventures designed for groups of three players. These flexible, fast-paced encounters immerse you in the pivotal moments and hidden corners of Pandaria’s rich narrative tapestry. Unlike dungeons or raids, Scenarios offer a streamlined, cooperative experience with no rigid role requirements—tank, healer, or damage dealer, any combination will do.

Scenarios are perfect for players seeking engaging content that’s accessible and rewarding. Each run unfolds with its own objectives, challenges, and unique lore, inviting players to participate in the living history of Pandaria.

Key Features of Scenarios
  • Flexible Grouping: Participate with any mix of classes and specializations—no need to wait for a tank or healer.
  • Quick to Queue, Quick to Complete: Scenarios typically last 10 to 30 minutes, perfect for fitting in a quick adventure.
  • Story-Focused: Each scenario highlights significant events, characters, or battles, deepening your connection to Pandaria.
  • Scalable Rewards: Earn Valor Points, achievements, and gear upgrades tailored to your level and performance.
How to Access Scenarios

To join a scenario, simply queue using the Group Finder (default hotkey “I”) and select the Scenarios tab. You can enter with friends or be matched with others looking for adventure. Players will need to be level 90 with a minimum item level of 425 to queue for a Scenario.

Scenarios at a Glance
  • A Brewing Storm (Thunderpaw Peak, Jade Forest): Help Brewmaster Blanche create her masterpiece, the Boomer Brew.  Join her search for the brew’s secret ingredient at the tallest peak in Jade Forest.
  • Arena of Annihilation (Temple of the White Tiger, Kun-Lai Summit): Prove your combat prowess by facing a series of increasingly difficult opponents in a gladiatorial arena. Defeat all the adversaries and emerge victorious, showcasing your skills and teamwork.
  • Brewmoon Festival (Binan Village, Kun-Lai Summit): Defend villagers from sprites and spirits in the Jade Forest.
  • Crypt of Forgotten Kings (Vale of Eternal Blossoms): Venture into the Vale of Eternal Blossoms to uncover and defeat ancient evils lurking within the crypt.

  • Unga Ingoo (Unga Ingoo, Krasarang Wilds): Put an end to the mischievous monkey pirates’ chaos.
Each scenario brings unique challenges and mechanics. These are just the first we’ll have in store for you with more Scenarios and even Heroic Difficulty for some Scenarios in future updates.

Challenge Modes: The Ultimate Test

For those who crave a greater test of skill and coordination, Challenge Modes beckon. These time-limited, scaled dungeons require precision, teamwork, and a dash of daring. Challenge Modes transform familiar dungeons into gauntlets where only the swift and the skilled rise to the top.

How Challenge Modes Work
  • Gear Normalization: Your gear’s stats are scaled down to a uniform item level, ensuring the focus is on strategy and execution rather than raw power.
  • Timed Runs: Beat the clock to earn medals—Bronze, Silver, or Gold—based on your completion time.
  • Leaderboards: See how your group stacks up against others on your realm and beyond.
  • Exclusive Rewards: Unique transmogrification sets, mounts, titles, and more await those who conquer the challenges.
Participating in Challenge Modes

Gather a group of five players and travel to the entrance of a Challenge Mode dungeon. Interact with the Challenge Mode console to begin your run; once inside, the timer starts, and the true test begins. Communicate, coordinate, and make every second count.

Which Dungeons Offer Challenge Modes?

All Mists of Pandaria dungeons feature Challenge Mode variants, including:
  • Temple of the Jade Serpent
  • Stormstout Brewery
  • Shado-Pan Monastery
  • Mogu’shan Palace
  • Siege of Niuzao Temple
  • Gate of the Setting Sun
  • Scholomance (Mists of Pandaria Classic version)
  • Scarlet Monastery (Mists of Pandaria Classic version)
Each dungeon brings distinct routes, mechanics, and opportunities for speed-running mastery.

Rewards and Recognition

Victory in Challenge Modes is rewarded with more than just pride. Achieve Gold times and unlock transmogrification sets inspired by the theme of each dungeon. Silver and Bronze completions also yield special cosmetics and achievements. Top teams may find their names etched on leaderboards for all to see, and mounts like the Jade Pandaren Kite await those who complete every dungeon with distinction.

Looking Ahead: Your Adventure Awaits

Mists of Pandaria Classic’s Scenarios and Challenge Modes are an invitation to immerse yourself in the stories and challenges that define Pandaria. Whether you’re seeking the camaraderie of quick, story-focused Scenarios or the adrenaline rush of perfectly coordinated Challenge Mode runs, there’s something here for everyone.

As you set foot upon the mists once more, remember: the path to mastery is paved with teamwork, strategy, and above all, the joy of adventure. Gather your allies, hone your skills, and write your own legend in the annals of Pandaria.

Are you ready to answer the call?[Источник]

Mists of Pandaria Classic: A Profession Primer

The mists surrounding Pandaria will soon lift, and with it, players will begin their transition from the shattered lands of the Cataclysm to the mystical lands of the Pandaren. To help with this transition, we’ve pulled together a refresher on what you can expect from professions.

Harmonius Prospects

Danky
Spirit of Harmony Vendor

In Mists of Pandaria Classic, players encounter a new material known as the Spirit of Harmony. Crafters of any stripe will find it has many uses. By now, any experienced crafter is used to filling bags with a variety of materials such as Primal Life, Primal Fire, Primal Earth, etc. but in Mists of Pandaria, it’s all about Spirit of Harmony (in combination with the usual materials, like ore, leather, and gems). Much like with other Primals, Motes of Harmony can be combined (10 to 1) to create one Spirit of Harmony.

Spirit of Harmony is a Bind on Pickup (or “BoP” to veterans) crafting material that can be found on every lootable creature in every zone in Pandaria—from dungeons to the outdoor world.

In addition to serving as a core crafting ingredient, Spirits of Harmony can also be used to purchase a variety of additional bonuses or materials that your character may need. While not every profession will get equal value out of them, most everyone will need to collect them for one reason or another.

Here are some examples of the many ways that Spirit of Harmony can be used:
  • Alchemy: Purchase an extra Transmute.
  • Archaeology: Purchase a restored artifact.
  • Cooking: Exchange for an Iron Paw Token.
  • Enchanting: Buy reagents.
  • Engineering: New mounts and personal goggles.
  • Herbalism: Purchase herbs.
  • Inscription: Purchase rare inks.
  • Jewelcrafting: Use to purchase extra daily discoveries.
  • Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking: Used to create epic items.
Purchasing materials may not ultimately be the most efficient way to gain resources, but it can be an added convenience to purchase something with Spirit of Harmony rather than going back into the world to get it. The Spirit of Harmony vendor can be found in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Tools of the Trade

Players will be able to perform profession-related tasks without carrying tools. Instead, players will benefit from carrying tools by the skill bonuses they provide. Need that next bump in skill level? Buy the appropriate tool and get to work. Time is money, friend!

Alchemy

Pandaria wouldn’t be Pandaria without the prized Golden Lotus (the herb, not the faction). These will be in high demand as they tend to be rare and are used in a variety of pandaren recipes, ranging from gems to flasks to treasure finding potions. In addition, a new swiftness potion can turn the user into a Jinyu Assassin for a short duration.

Alchemist Stones can be found in the world as a random upgradable quest item (it’s a rock.) Alchemists will also be able to help other professionals by transmuting Living Steel, a much-needed material for crafting epic items.

Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, and Tailoring

Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, and Tailoring all make use of Spirit of Harmony in their epic recipes. The recipes craftsmen rely on to level up will create items with random stats, with a chance of making a rare-quality item. You’ll need Spirits of Harmony to learn PvP and starter dungeon gear recipes, but you won’t need the Spirits to craft the items. It should then be easier for craftsmen to make this gear and get it out to the players who need it. We’re actually adding lots of new recipes to all sorts of vendors, so see the list below for the vendors you’ll want to cozy up to.

Raid recipes for all three of these professions will drop from both “trash” mobs and bosses. The special Raid crafting reagent, the Blood Spirit, is only found when disenchanting epic items acquired from non-Raid Finder versions of Raids.
  • Blacksmiths will want to cozy up to the Klaxxi (mantid elders) to learn new weapon, shield spike, weapon chain, and epic armor recipes that are crafted completely from things you can find out in the world. You’ll also be able to purchase PvP and tanking armor recipes (for one Spirit of Harmony each) from Jorunga Stonehoof in the Shrine of Two Moons or from Cullen Hammerbrow in the Shrine of Seven Stars.
  • Leatherworkers will be working closely with the Golden Lotus faction to learn recipes for epic armor and leg armor kits. Much like blacksmiths, leatherworkers will be able to purchase PvP armor recipes for one Spirit of Harmony each from Krogo Darkhide in the Shrine of Two Moons and Tanner Pang in the Shrine of Seven Stars.
  • Tailors will be able to buy a new 28-slot bag pattern, aptly named the Royal Satchel, when they reach Exalted reputation with the August Celestials. It’s worth noting that this bag is costly to make; there is no easily-made bag to replace the hard-earned Illusionary Bags you may have collected during Cataclysm. If you didn’t get your bags then, start saving for this one!
Enchanting

Materials can be upgraded and downgraded as needed. It’s worth noting, however, that downgrading comes at a cost and will produce less dust than upgrading. The design team has also looked at glow effects from enchantments and has (figuratively) put a dimmer switch on them. They will now have a lower impact on the item they are applied to.

Engineering

Engineers can create a new pet, the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, and we’ve removed restrictions from others using great new items such as bombs, the Dragonling trinket, and yes, even a portable anvil (and forge) for the blacksmith on the go. (Limited use item — please see your local engineer for more information.)
  • Two New Rocket Mounts
  • Goblin Glider Available: Like the Parachute Cloak, you’ll be able to take to the air, but instead of merely floating, you’ll be able to glide with style in the direction (forward ho!) you want to go without being at the mercy of the wind.
  • Blingtron 4000: It doesn’t slice, it doesn’t dice, but it does churn out gifts! You’ll have ‘em lining up wherever you set this new invention down in the hope of getting a special gift. (Gifts are limited to one per day, per account, to anyone who talks with him while he’s around.) The Blingtron 4000 will be fully stocked with a variety of fun items such as Party Grenades, but even better than that, it has a chance (a very, very small one) to give the gift of an Engineering mount or pet. Consider this your way of giving a little something back to the world you live in.
Herbalism

With Mists of Pandaria Classic comes the discovery of the Golden Lotus. This herb is used in a variety of Alchemy recipes and when picked has a random chance to apply a treasure finding buff on the herbalist. There are plenty of other herbs worth noting in the expansion and we’ve listed some of them for you below.
  • Green Tea Leaf:  Known for its healing qualities, this common herb is found everywhere in Pandaria. It is said the locals normally find it too bitter for tea, and only harvest it at special times during the year to ensure a soothing flavor. Luckily, alchemists don’t care how they taste.
  • Rain Poppy:  Found in the Jade Forest and within the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, this robust red flower was once harvested exclusively by a secret organization, but is now used for a variety of potions, flasks, and even a special Inscription staff.
  • Silkweed:  Found only in the Valley of the Four Winds and Krasarang Wilds, this delicate plant was once used to create crude fabric for clothing. These days, it is used primarily to make potions and flasks that temporarily increase Intellect.
  • Snow Lily: A beautiful flower, sacred to those living in Kun-Lai summit, it is used for potions and flasks that improve Agility. Despite its revered status, it is not frowned upon to consume this delicate blossom.
  • Fool’s Cap: Deadly to the uninitiated, this mushroom causes a horrible form of weakening rot when eaten without proper preparation. A highly skilled alchemist can harness the spores to increase Strength, rather than reduce it.
For herbalists that need a little help plucking these delicate yet valuable herbs from the soil (Tauren, we’re looking at you), a new tool is now available that provides a +10 boost: the spade. The requirement for low-level herbs and ore  is reduced to 1 for, so you’ll be able to make steady progress a little bit more regularly through the zones as you level.

Mining

Miners will quickly discover that Ghost Iron is everywhere. As the most common ore on Pandaria, smiths have mastered the ability to hammer it into strong and lightweight armor. Trillium, a much rarer metal, can be found occasionally where you might expect Ghost Iron. It comes in both black and white varieties, and only by combining an equal quantity of both you can expect to create a bar with metalsmithing properties.

Kyparite is a crystalized form of sap from the mighty Kypari trees. The Klaxxi desire it above all else and will teach blacksmiths how to use it to make weapons and epic armor.

Skinning

Native Pandarens have a complex and confusing name for leather, and those new to the continent have taken to simply calling it Exotic Leather. While skinners will find they are consistently able to obtain full pieces of Exotic Leather, weaker animals are sometimes corrupted by the presence of the Sha and only parts of the hide are useable. If you’re extremely lucky, you may find a Magnificent Hide. Otherwise, leatherworkers can convert fifty pieces of Exotic Leather into more magnificent material.

Jewelcrafting

Jewelcrafting dailies? Not in Pandaria. Instead, you’ll choose from among six different discovery recipes based on the color of gem you’d like to try to discover (you don’t mind sacrificing a gem for the cause, do you?) With Spirit of Harmony, you’ll be able to bypass the once-daily cooldown (though it will still apply to other discovery attempts.)

We’ve also limited the number of Jeweler’s Gems you can equip to two in order to make it a bit easier to gear up. You’ll be able to prospect Meta Gems and Meta Gem recipes will be found as world drops from any creatures with a reasonably high chance to drop Bind on Pickup items across Pandaria. Jewelcrafters will also be able to create a Scrying Gem so they can look far into the distance with something a little like far sight.

Oh, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the new Panther mounts jewelcrafters can create that will be available for anyone to purchase or ride.

It’s worth noting that the Grab Bag you can earn in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms has a chance for Meta Gems and two new Jewelcrafting pet recipes.

Inscription: The Pen is Mightier

The scribes of Azeroth are a deceptively powerful lot. Using herbs harvested from the earth, they create powerful inks and scribe glyphs that empower a hero’s most powerful abilities. Like Archeology and Cooking, Inscription will be renovated in Mists of Pandaria Classic.

All glyphs can be learned through Northrend Inscription Research. Books of Glyph Mastery will stay in as a way to bypass the daily research cooldown. These same glyphs can also be learned through the daily Scroll of Wisdom cooldown, but only after you’ve learned all the new Mists of Pandaria Classic glyphs.

While trainers will teach some new recipes, most of the new Glyph recipes will be learned by creating Scrolls of Wisdom, which you can do once a day. In addition to functioning as a daily Inscription research for Mists, Scrolls of Wisdom will serve as a valuable reagent needed in order to make epic items (including Darkmoon Cards). This means that the supply of epic Inscription items will be limited by a scribe’s ability to only obtain one Scroll of Wisdom per day (barring a couple of exceptions including the weekly Inscription quests). It’s quite possible that the supply restrictions will result in Inscription items being more prized in the market.

On shoulder inscriptions: In the past, you only made them for yourself. In Mists of Pandaria Classic, you need to provide them for your fellow adventurers as well.  Shoulder inscriptions will not be available for purchase from reputation vendors.  It’s all up to you.

In addition to the Staves that scribes can make in place of the old Relics, Fans (off-hand items) have been added for Mists of Pandaria Classic level content.  While most of these can be used or sold to fellow adventurers, a couple of craftable epic Staves are reserved for the scribes that made them (Battle.net account bound). They will require the less powerful staves as a reagent and will be a very significant undertaking – creating one will take around 20 days! Once you “outgrow” these items, you can turn it in for a “refund” of 10 Scrolls of Wisdom.

Secondary Professions

First Aid: You’ll now be able to start making the high-end bandages at skill level 550. When you reach the maximum skill of 600, you’ll become more efficient at making these bandages and will need fewer materials.

Fishing: You’ll find plenty to do if you’re the fishing sort at the Angler’s Outpost. There are more fish to discover; some that may actually taste good and some maybe not so edible. You’ll be able to catch them with or without the fishing pole, though a sturdy rod will make things easier. You’ll also find new Fishing dailies, courtesy of our favorite angler, Nat Pagle. He’ll ask you to fish up three rare fish for him from salt water, fresh water, and from sha-touched waters.

Archaeology: Digging in the Dirt

Introduced with the Cataclysm expansion, Archeology allows players to do a little digging (literally) into the history of the races of Azeroth; Mists of Pandaria Classic introduces two new fragment types for the mogu and pandaren. The discovery of Pandaria will also lead to the unearthing of new items and new functionality that will entice any treasure seeker to break out the survey kit and get digging.

Previously, each site only contained three dig locations, but with Mists of Pandaria Classic, this has been expanded to six. This should cut down on travel time so archaeologists can instead spend more time discovering the mysteries that Azeroth has hidden beneath its crust. We’ve also added an extra surprise to the dig sites in Pandaria; you never know when one of the sha will pop up. Killing one will provide extra fragments and a chance to procure a keystone as well.

If you’ve wondered where Brann Bronzebeard has landed, have no fear, as you’ll be able to find him in the Seat of Knowledge along with the Lorewalkers faction. Pandaren and mogu common Artifacts will turn into Restored Artifacts on use, which you can trade in to him for bags containing a small number of fragments of the race of your choice. At Exalted reputation, you’ll also be able to trade them for Lorewalker’s Lodestones (which teleport you to a random digsite in Pandaria) or Lorewalker’s Maps (30-minute cooldown and randomizes Archaeology digsites in Pandaria). Occasionally, when you finish a common Archaeology project, instead of getting a “normal” common Artifact, you will get the Pristine version. These will start a one-time quest, rather than turn into a Restored Artifact. When you complete that quest, the artifact will appear in the Seat of Knowledge, and can be examined by interacting with it.

There’s plenty more to discover as you travel through this mysterious new continent.

Cooking: The Way of the Wok

The pandaren take their culinary creations seriously and their influence has changed cooking as a whole for all of Azeroth. Some of these changes are subtle, like the appearance of the cooking pane. Cooking recipes are more clearly organized based on what you’re looking to create, from expansion-specific recipes to holiday treats.

Cooking becomes a slightly more individual affair. Feasts will still provide close-to-maximum food bonuses and are the most efficient way to provide for your raid, but the very best stat boosts are reserved for the cooks (and their customers) who put in that extra effort to create single-serving masterpieces. These food items crafted for individual consumption will provide primary stat benefits, and the more effort that goes into a particular recipe, the higher the value of the bonus stat it provides.

You’ll meet the Ironpaws in the Halfhill market in the Valley of the Four Winds on your epicurean quest. These are the culinary giants of Pandaria and as you complete quests for them, you’ll earn Ironpaw Tokens, which can be redeemed for Cooking rewards.

This new faction represents the best chefs that Pandaria has to offer, and you’ll be able to train with them to learn several different cooking specializations:
  • Way of the Brew – It’s all about a good cup of brew and a little fun
  • Way of the Grill – These recipes supply Strength bonuses
  • Way of the Oven – These recipes supply Stamina bonuses
  • Way of the Pot – These recipes supply Intellect bonuses
  • Way of the Steamer – These recipes supply Spirit bonuses
  • Way of the Wok – These recipes supply Agility bonuses
You’ll be able to specialize in any of these different Cooking techniques and any one will get you to max-level Cooking, but you’ll be able to master all of the ways if you so choose. While you can do all of them at once, the most efficient path to maximizing your culinary skills will be to focus on one Way at a time. Of course, no great chef is worth a salt without some support in the kitchen. You’ll be able to summon an apprentice chef named Nomi who’s looking to learn the tricks of the trade from an accomplished pro. You’ll be able to teach her every day until she becomes an expert cook.

Cooking rewards (Ironpaw Tokens) will allow you to purchase a variety of items. These are earned by doing Cooking dailies, or by supporting the Ironpaw’s cooking school with the groceries that they need to teach their students. Here are some of the great new items available for purchase in the market:
  • Heirloom Frying Pan, Rolling Pin, and Apron
  • Pandaren Banquets  – These provide the best possible stats of all the banquets.
  • Cooking School Bell  – Needed to summon Nomi
  • Flippable Table – Unleash your rage
  • Various exclusive ingredients that can’t be found anywhere else which are needed to craft banquets and the very best food items
  • Small bags of other commonly used Cooking ingredients*
Have too much of any one ingredient? By taking advantage of the common-ingredient bags available in the market, you’ll essentially be able to turn in stacks of surplus supplies for a small amount of something you’re having trouble getting. While it does add a convenient way to buy Cooking ingredients from a vendor, this won’t be the most economical use of your resources. If you’re concerned about being able to harvest ingredients, we suggest you get to know the Tillers, who can also help you establish your own farm and grow your own vegetables.

Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg (lettuce), and there’s more for you to discover when you begin your journey into Pandaria.

In Mists of Pandaria Classic, players can engage in Pet Battles—strategic 3v3 turn-based encounters that feature hundreds of collectible battle pets from across Azeroth. This beginner-friendly guide introduces the fundamentals of Pet Battles, from taming wild companions to mastering type matchups and ability combos.

What are Pet Battles?

Pet Battles allow players to turn their companion pets into battle-hardened allies. Unlock the feature through Battle Pet Training and take your team of three pets into tactical, turn-based encounters against wild creatures, quest trainers, and other players.

Each pet has its own family type, abilities, and progression path.

  • Train the skill: Visit any major city and speak with a Battle Pet Trainer to learn Battle Pet Training. This unlocks Pet Battles and the ability to track nearby wild pets on your minimap.
  • Tame your first pet: Choose from your current companions or tame a level 1 wild pet in a starting zone like Elwynn Forest or Durotar.
  • Enter your first battle: Right-click a wild pet to begin. Reduce its health to attempt a capture or win the match to gain experience.
  • Level and customize: Pets level up to 25, unlocking up to six unique abilities—three of which can be slotted at a time.
Pet Families and Their Strengths

Every pet belongs to a family type that determines its strengths and vulnerabilities. Understanding matchups is key to winning tougher battles.

Each family also has a passive bonus—for example, Flying pets act first when above 50% health, and Undead pets return to life for one final round after defeat.

Tips for New Tamers
  • Equip the Safari Hat (from Taming the World achievement) to boost pet experience
  • Aim for rare-quality pets when capturing in the wild

After leveling your core pets, you can:
  • Collect unique pets from dungeons, world drops, and achievements
  • Challenge master trainers across Pandaria
  • Explore hidden encounters tied to weather, time, or special events
  • Queue for PvP Pet Battles to test your strategy
Good luck pet battlers and collectors![Источник]
