Galvanize Your Resolve with Iron Gambit

Since our last content update, players have delved into the Age of Unmaking, discovered a new chapter in Deckard Cain’s storied past, and tested themselves with Oblivion Pillars. This upcoming content update introduces the Season 25 Battle Pass, a new Events Center, and two new endless modes in Survivor’s Bane.

The generals of the Burning Hells have unleashed their most clever magic—the ability to alter time itself. Starting on April 10th, the server time will roll back an hour earlier for Australia during maintenance to account for the end of daylight savings time.

As with previous content updates, there will be server maintenance starting on April 9, from 5 p.m.–7 p.m. PST for Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe servers, and on April 10, from 1 a.m.–3 a.m. PST for servers in the Americas. After the maintenance has concluded, all items mentioned below will be live—specific dates for any features going live afterward are provided below.

Battle Pass 25: Iron Gambit

The twisted bindings of iron can restrain you or be the very key that breaks you free from your shackles. The Season 25 Battle Pass weaves 40 ranks worth of challenges and rewards, such as Crests, Hilts, Legendary Gems, and more.

Remember, new Rank rewards are available in the Empowered Battle Pass, including a Familiar Contract at Rank 1, and rotating Cosmetics can be obtained from the Battle Archive Shop for owners of the Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass.

The gambit plays its hand wisely; this Battle Pass starts on April 11, 3 a.m. server time and ends on May 9, 3 a.m. server time—begin slaying demons and climbing your way through the ranks today!

Survivor’s Bane Updates

Survivor’s Bane will feature some new variations when playing in Endless mode. We’re introducing a new system where you’ll receive a random buff at the start of the match to help aid you in vanquishing hellspawn.

We’re also introducing two new hellishly augmented versions of Survivor’s Bane which greatly increases the overall challenge. Legions increases enemy spawn rate by 100%, and experience earned by 50%. The second, Stampede, increases enemy density by 50%, and enemy movement speed by 25%.

New achievements will be yours to unlock once you’ve mastered these new modes by crushing demons in Survivor’s Bane. Partaking in these new modes will also earn you increased rewards from rising to meet this challenge with a fervor only Sanctuary’s finest could muster.

Events Center Rewards Aplenty

We are introducing an all-new Events Center to give you increased rewards for your various exploits in Sanctuary on a regular, rotating basis. The first cycle will be from April 19—May 21, play through the limited-time events to earn even more rewards. By finishing tasks and conquering the legions of the Burning Hells, you’ll earn Seals of Triumph, which will reward you in kind for the sheer number of deeds you can attribute to your name.

To see the full list of eligible events that reward Seals of Triumph, see the bottom- left side of the Events tab.

Participate as you would normally to earn these rewards,; the more events you complete, the more spoils shall be yours:
  • 1-Star Legendary Gems
  • Normal Gems
  • Telluric Pearls
  • Legendary Items
  • A unique Avatar frame
  • Aspirant’s Keys
Returning Events

Enlist your most trusted companions and outlast enemy teams in the Wild Brawl event. In this unique, limited-time PVP event from April 12, 3 a.m.–April 19, 2024, 3 a.m. server time, players start at Level 1 and work together in teams of six to explore an expansive map and endure to become the last surviving team. Equip discovered gear, gain experience to strengthen your power, and slay everything in sight to win the battle. This arena style game mode ends when one team has outlasted the others to make their eternal mark on Sanctuary. For more information about Wild Brawl, please visit this article.

Survivor’s Bane

In Survivor’s Bane, you’ll begin each run without your character’s items and a random Skill from their Class. From April 19, 3 a.m.–April 26, 3 a.m. server time you can vanquish demons across three levels in succession—Shassar Sea, Ashwold Cemetary, and Frozen Tundra—to earn rewards and achievements.

As you move throughout the map, any Skills you have equipped will be automatically cast for you. Smiting Hell’s minions will grant you useful experience orbs that level up your character. Each time you level up, you’ll be presented with the option to equip a new Skill, up to six total can be equipped—the Skill you’re presented with can be from any Class regardless of your character’s Class—or to upgrade an equipped Skill. Alley of Blood

Quarreling forces threaten to desecrate hallowed grounds, marking a point in the conflict between the forces of Shadows and Immortals. Demolish opposing Sentry Towers and dismantle the enemy team’s base of operations by shattering their Crystal Heart. Imbue your adventurer with Specialist Skills for a tactical advantage, and guard and bolster your Champion’s Marks to claim the day. From April 19, 3 a.m.–April 26, 3 a.m. server time, fight alongside Sacred Guardians in the Alley of Blood.

Here are the rules of engagement:
  • All characters will be set to Level 60.
  • The Rank of all Legendary Gear and Set Gear will be set to 1.
  • The Rank for all Legendary Gems on your character will be set to 10.
Bonuses from the following are disabled as well:
  • Resonance
  • Clans and Warbands
  • Normal Gems and Charms
  • Helliquary bonuses
  • Stances
  • Paragon Specialization
Shady Stock

Yakin has once again come into possession of some liberated merchandise, likely plucked from a far-away excavation. His Shady Stock is in high demand and will be available to peruse from April 13, 3 a.m.–April 20, 3 a.m. server time, or until Westmarch’s guards raid his supply. Feature Updates

Switch the New Magic Affix while Class Change

Legendary Items earned from Terror Rifts, Oblivion Pillars, and Hellslayer Bounties with Class specific Affixes will update when changing Classes. If you’ve obtained any of these items with a Class specific Affix, your Item will shift to a different Class specific Affix upon changing to a new Class. These Affixes are directly tied across Classes, an Affix on one Class will always update to the same Affix on a different Class.

Battleground Compensation for AFK Players

For players that lose a Battleground match after a teammate is removed for inactivity or a disconnection, we’re compensating the loss of the match with a slight reimbursement of overall points.

Necromancer Legendary Affix Changes

The cooldown for the Corpse Lance Emperor of Worms Legendary Affix effect has been increased from 3 to 6 seconds. When striking an enemy, they’ll only be affected by the Immobilizing effect every 6 seconds instead of 3.

Corpse Lance now also reduces the Movement Speed of any enemies it strikes and immobilizes to prevent any dash skill for any enemy hit by a Lance 4 times for 4.8 seconds.
  • Level 1: Immobility 2.4 seconds
  • Level 2: Immobility 2.8 seconds
  • Level 3: Immobility 3.2 Seconds
  • Level 4: Immobility 3.6 Seconds
Developer’s Note: Considering the cooldown for Corpse Lance at level 4 was 3 seconds and stunned enemy players for 2.4 seconds, players were essentially able to stun lock their opponents with relative ease. This change to cooldown should allow for a fairer fight.

Item Stack Inventory Changes

Certain items now stack to higher amounts per space in your inventory to save space. The following items now stack further:
  • Aspirant’s keys increased from 99 to 9,999 per slot.
  • All types of Crests, increased from 99 to 9,999 per slot.
  • Upgrade materials such as Scrap, increased from 9,999 to 99,999 per slot.
Battlefield Performance Optimization

We’ve optimized the overall underlying program logic of skills, and now casting your skills and engaging in overall combat while in game should be much smoother.
